Overview:  Proposed Division 3
Humanities-Based Research Elective

     As we all understand, the successful NCCES
graduate and 21^st Century learner will have mastered the skills
necessary to conduct high-quality research. 
Here at NCCES, the mastery of these skills is highlighted in Junior
Exhibition and Senior Project. 
While these skills are cumulative and will have been introduced in
Divisions 1 and 2, the expectations for Division 3 (and for college preparation)
need to be of the most rigorous academic standards.

     This course is designed to help students build skills in the following areas: 

Standard
1: Define Task

Students will
define problems competently and identify information needs.

Standard
2: Locate and Access Information

Students will develop strategies to find and
use sources relevant to their question.
