Students explore a variety of literary works through readings, discussion, research writing, creative writing, journal writing, vocabulary development, and analysis throughout the academic year.  Works studied will include:  JohnnyGot His Gun by Dalton Trumbo; For Whom the Bell Tolls by Ernest Hemingway; "The Lottery" by Shirley Jackson; A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by, Selected Poetry by Emily **inson, and The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoyevsky.
