Our History
- The North Central Charter Essential School (NCCES) was chartered by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in May 2001.
- The school opened its doors to 235 students in grades 7-9 in September, 2002.
- In the fall of 2004 the school expanded into an additional 12,000 square feet of leased at MIC which includes an art studio, science lab, performing art space, college and career resource center as well as an independent learning area.
- In the fall of 2005, the school enrolled 375 students in grades 7-12.
- In the spring of 2006, the school graduates its first ever Senior class!
